George Beer is a pastel artist who rediscovered his passion for art after retiring in 2020.

He studied graphic design at the Johannesburg College of Art in the late 1970s, but life and family responsibilities kept him from pursuing art for over 35 years.

Since retirement, he has embraced soft pastels as his medium of choice. What began as a hobby has grown into a deeply fulfilling creative outlet that keeps him engaged and inspired.
